Good bye Lilly

as i lay resting on my single twin bed. the door is open and so is the window. a slight breeze knocks the shades together making them clap with each other. the sun has been set for 5 hours in this november. I'm under the covers feeling the insulation from my own body keeping me warm. my bed is against the wall, so i roll over and feel the freezing wall on my clothed shoulder. i roll back to the other edge facing the wall and black out. I'm awaken by a presence in the room. its not my brother but that of a 2 foot long and 13 pound shadow with green eyes sitting in the middle of my 12x by 8 room.i think nothing of it since i could feel the melanopsin flowing through my blood and found it difficult to open my eyes. with my closed eyes i can sense the creature still in the center of the room. suddenly it jumps from the center of my room to the space that's left on my bed. i can feel its weight inches from me. i felt a cold wet sensation on my cheek. i felt at ease as if i knew the creature. the creature lays cuddled next to my chest with its "head" closer to my chest. i hear a purring coming from the presences. with my right eye open i slowly reach with my right hand and begin to pet the cat. she lets out a soft and modest meow as i gently stroke her back and feeling her soft fur. she lifts her head presses her nose on my cheek on again, gives me a quick lick, and a gentle bite on the cheek. not even startling i look into the green eyes of the cat, whose fur color turned out to be gray with a hint of orange. we make eye contact, she lets out a somber meow and jumps off the bed. i turn on my back and watch her land in the center of my room where she had first appeared. she sat facing me, once again letting out a somber meow, she then turns and trots out of the room.
I jump as if something has snapped me out of my sleep. as if my body is jerk from its slumber. the air felt heavy, and i feel a presence in my room. i check the time on my phone that is under my pillow it was 11:30.i get up and explore my home searching for the cat, i wonder if it was just a dream or if a cat infiltrated our place looking for shelter. to no avail, i return to bed as if nothing has had happened.the next day my intuitoin was on high alert.as i was running my errands, received a message 12 hours later: " Lilly, my cat, passes away last night at 11:15 pm."
